Terms of Use
Last updated: 31 July 2026
The short version: use our apps for lawful purposes, don't try to break them, and understand that they're tools — not a guarantee about the world. Nothing here removes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.
These terms apply to the KP Studio website at kpstudio.au and to our mobile apps, StampSnap and Local Springs. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
1. Who we are
KP Studio is an independent software studio based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Contact: support@kpstudio.au.
2. Licence to use our apps
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use our apps on devices you own or control, for personal or internal business use. You may not:
- copy, resell, sublicense or redistribute the apps;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent that law expressly permits it;
- remove or alter any notices contained in the apps;
- use the apps to break the law, infringe someone's rights, or harass anyone.
Apps downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to those stores' own terms.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you create with our apps — photos, captions, saved places and notes. We don't claim any rights over it.
If you submit a place suggestion or correction through Local Springs, you give us permission to use, edit and publish that information within the app's place database. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share.
4. Accuracy and intended use
StampSnap
StampSnap stamps photos with the date, time and text available on your device at the moment of capture. It is a record-keeping convenience, not a certified or tamper-proof evidentiary system. If a timestamp needs to stand up in a legal, insurance or regulatory setting, don't rely on StampSnap alone.
Local Springs
Place information in Local Springs comes from public sources and user contributions, and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Access, safety conditions, water quality, opening hours, fees and land ownership all change. Always check conditions locally and use your own judgement before entering water or remote areas. Swimming, plunging and bathing carry inherent risk, and you take part at your own risk.
5. Availability
We aim to keep our apps and website working, but we don't promise uninterrupted availability. Features may change or be withdrawn, and an app may eventually be discontinued. Where practical we'll give notice of significant changes.
6. Pricing and purchases
Where an app or feature is paid, the price shown in the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase applies. Purchases, refunds and subscription management are handled by Apple or Google under their policies — we can't process refunds directly, but tell us if something goes wrong and we'll help where we can.
7. Consumer guarantees and liability
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
Beyond those non-excludable rights, and to the extent the law allows: our apps are provided "as is"; we exclude implied warranties; and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the app or refunding what you paid for it.
8. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this address with the date it took effect. Continuing to use our apps after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have jurisdiction over any dispute — without affecting any rights you have to bring a claim in your own country of residence.
